March is a big, brawling, bawling, emotional mess of a month. Confused but sure, loving but careful, hesitant but willing to jump off a new cliff without an obvious net. Brand-new loves appear with surprising twists; old loves with brand-new attitudes. Endings and beginnings, March has it all. In my dreams, you’re getting check-ups (not just physical), because this is a time for discovery and healing; but I also want you to begin a new project. However, it must be special: You must feel passionate about it, you must commit to it and it should take about a year.
Aries (March 21 - Apr. 20)
So, I really want you to mark my words: If you value the hard work (and I know it has been hard work) you have put into your relationships, this will be one of those times you are tested, and you will have to decide if it was worth it. This month you will be like Adam with your own personal snake. You’ll be shocked and taken completely by surprise, and hardly anyone will know about it, but you must decide for yourself: Is this apple worth being thrown out of the garden?
Taurus (april 21 - may 21)
I hear a big, brass band playing (in my head) and a crowd hums with excitement, carrying you on their shoulders and cheering. You win, you rule, you were voted in: Now you get to organize this rowdy, affectionate, quirky group and show them the path to the future. You need to paint them pictures (in words) so they can feel the excitement of change in the air, and embrace your role as an empathetic, visionary leader. Even if it isn’t apparent or obvious, your friends and fans still look to you for guidance, so relax: It’ll be fun.
Gemini (May 22 - June 20)
Here it is, the month you have been waiting for: The results of your worry, stress and planning, short trips and communications, all to make something happen that at times you didn’t even know you wanted. Who you are – your position, your career, your social standing – is coming back to you now in a moving van filled to the roof with your dreams. This is all working out, in spite of (or because of) the many details you have to fine-tune, so have faith. The paper is waiting for your press release.
Cancer (June 21 - July 22)
You, Cancer, love home and family, but you’re also a visionary who can feel a future trend like a cold coming on. You love to stash cash and plan, so all the planning and stashing and feeling are drawing you to foreign influences, higher education and publication. This is the month for big, big travel, world tour time, and your work is tied to these influences. That means these influences are going to make you money. So, more to stash. Embrace diversity and change in your workplace and look to the world for inspiration.
Leo (July 23 - Aug. 23)
You have a lot going for you in March: A surprise financial boost or gain through a partner, a surprisingly deep and intimate connection gets intensified, and emotionally-charged topics find themselves smoothing out. Any differences (and there have been some) concerning the sharing of power, intimacy matters, finances and other unlikely subjects benefit from a little love, as well. Just turn on the charm. You could even wow a few banks, insurance agencies, mortgage companies and the like. Tax issues? Pretend you are courting them, too and use that historically infamous leonine charisma to woo even the crankiest corporations.
Virgo (Aug. 24 - Sept. 22)
Some would say that you are obsessively, annoyingly concerned with every detail of your relationships, personal and professional. Some would say that you tend to micromanage communications and need a little too much re-affirming. Those people can sit back and watch with envy as your relationships supernova into a big, sparkling galaxy of love. You’ll be up to your neck in clover and basking in the sunshine of your relationships (I know I’m mixing metaphors). This is a good month for legal and binding contracts, also; so put some “love” into them. Love is all you Virgos need.
Libra (Sept. 23 - Oct. 22)
Lots of things have happened this year that have forced you to alter a few previously held ideas, and one of those is work. You made a decision to change the way you work. The truth is, work makes you happy this month. Work brings a built-in support system, and everyone at works loves you. You can make your work grow this month, and the more you love it, change it, grow it and make it look good, the more love work will bring back to you. This includes busy work, too, so keep busy.
Scorpio (Oct. 23 - Nov. 21)
I made a decision early in this column to leave technical astrological details out of the horoscopes. My feeling is most people don’t care about jargon. Still, I’m giving you this technical info: Astrologers call The Fifth House the “fun” house, and yours is completely full, with five planets there this month. That means love, romance, parties, fun, children, art and surprises. Lots of surprises. All this will change and improve any work you do concerning your career and social standing, so don’t feel guilty about enjoying yourself. Just inform anyone who asks with, “My astrologer told me to.”
Sagittarius (Nov. 22 - Dec. 21)
I recently saw an article about Christina Aguilera’s house. She’s a Sagittarius, you know. It made me think about you this month. She has a charming home, in good taste yet as gaudy and as showy as you can imagine (like yours should be). You really need a larger than normal home (or one with a great view) right now or you’ll feel claustrophobic, so maybe this is the time for a new one. Maybe this is the time to live in a more exotic place, like you’ve always threatened. You’ll shock everyone, but you don’t care what “they” think, right?
Capricorn (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20)
Crazy charming, that’s you this month. You may be insightful and brilliant, but you may say and write shocking, socially unacceptable things – people may feel as if they have just gotten an electric jolt. Speech flows as freely as champagne at a wedding, with the same kind of mixed results. You feel a little hyper (like a Gemini) and exhibit what I like to call a “L.B.T.” (Low Boredom Threshold.) Count on at least one brother or sister (or neighbor) acting like an attention-getting show-off. Oh, and buy a new car and take a long drive.
Aquarius (Jan. 21 - Feb. 19)
A good Aquarian friend of mine recently told me that a gypsy read her Tarot cards and told her, “Nothing in your life is as good as your work right now.” I don’t know how I feel about gypsies, but I do agree with that statement: Every good thing this month concerns making money, what you do for a living, growing your business, making money ... oh, I said that. I want you to focus on money and work this month, and don’t stress about anything else. You’re at the top of the work wave. Everything else just needs to wait.
Pisces (Feb. 20 - March 20)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PISCES! You’ve had a birthday before, and you’ve had good months before, but not like this. This is your month. You’re optimistic, lucky and you say the first thing that pops into your head. Kudos for saying outrageous things and completely getting away with it. You shine like the star you are. This has been a hard year and you definitely deserve a break. Go ahead, buy that lottery ticket, pitch your idea to the new CEO, or better yet, have some fun. Wear a crown, literally or figuratively, and “luck” (and love) is on your side in March.
